Busy days..

Friday's area always busy so I thought I'd try something new.. leave this post open on my computer and add to it as the day goes by. :)

10:00 -- we are all awake.   Yep, late sleepers today.  Rohan woke up around 9:00 I guess but went into the bathroom while dad showered and dressed and read daddy books for a good 30 mins. :)   The rest of the crew didn't rise until about 9:45.

10:15- Kids are all eating yogurt and granola with chai to drink (I go light on the chai heavy on the milk.. dont' worry LOL) with blueberries.

I'm making a list of everything that needs done today..

put all the clothes in the closet of the camper
make all my food for the trip
put all the food in the camper
go down my checklist
help Brianna make the skirts
get reading and math done at least for school
head out around 3:00

11:00 - ahh... showered.   I've been on the "no 'poo" plan for almost a month now and my hair is in better shape than it's ever been.   Wash with a bit of baking soda dissolved in a cup of water.. rinse with apple cider vinegar about every other time.

12:40.. taking a lunch break. :)

Brianna sewed the main parts of their skirts.  I told her I'd hem it (since she want's it "nice and neat")  and then she just has to add the elastic to the waistbands.

Also got about 1/2 the food done.. breakfast burritos made for 2 mornings

I love these.. I just cook up a thing of turkey sausage, some chopped up potatoes, and a dozen eggs, add a bag of cheese, some salt and pepper, and a good amount of salsa... then roll them up and wrap individually.   Very tasty.   Our fridge in the camper is SMALL and fitting enough food in it for 3 days is very hard.  So, this week I'm making these for breakfast.. I've got beans almost done cooking now which I'm going to make into refried beans.  Add the cheese and roll them up like the breakfast burritos.. then premake tacos for us in the same way.   These stack very easily and don't take up much space.. just grab out however much we want to eat.

I'm also bringing some fruit and our juicer so we can have some juice.

Anyway, beans are about ready to make up and then all that's left is cooking the taco meat and chopping lettuce, tomatoes, and peppers..

1:51-  sitting down for a few mins..  bean burritos done, meat starting to cook.   We finished the girls skirts :)  They need ironed but the girls had fun making them.. Lorien even put her own elastic in!

And.. I think that might be it for the day. :)  We head out in one hour to go camping and I have a ton to do before then..

Shabbat Shalom my friends!  Love you guys. :)

Sounds like a fabulous day!!! LOVE the skirts- you and the girls did a great job.

When you talk about taking the camper, are you preparing for Sukkot or is this another trip beforehand?

Shabbat Shalom, chaverah!

Oh, and Christian (11) came in when I was reading this post & saw the breakfast burritos. He decided we are going to make them for breakfast (and maybe a bunch for the freezer- do they freeze well?) this week.

We are camping this weekend as well. It's at the same campsite we are holding Sukkot and it's to finish planning for Sukkot. :) Several families are going. Looking forward to it!
