Ahh.....

We've been very much enjoying our time here camping for sukkot.  The kids are loving all the friends and the being outdoors all day long, I'm loving the fellowship and just the ease of life here for a bit, and the worship and teachings we've been hearing have been amazing.

I'm especially thankful for the teachings from Paul Nison this week.   I've listened to his teachings for awhile now and listening to him in person helped clarify a few things I was wondering about. :)    The kids are having a BLAST.  Outside all day long, dozens of friends to play with, bikes to ride, spray park to play in, etc.. what's not to like?

Brianna lost another tooth this weekend.

Lorien's been her usual stinker self

Rohan's had fun playing with buddies and by himself.. little mr. anti social

I had fun taking a few behind the scenes of a Paul Nisan interview photos LOL

And I got a kick out of our picnic table over ran with laptops...  the sukkot wireless cafe.
I have many many more pictures to come but I'm tired and the youth seems to have went to bed as I no longer here them outside (they were up practicing for their dance presentation later but had to go late since a certain somebody talked extra long tonight)  (might could have been my husband LOL)

So, I'll just leave with a few dance pics.,

Monday blessings..

We found out during our fast today that there's not just one family in the area we are moving to for fellowship..  There is an actual group of believers there!  And once we learn Spanish there are several other groups in Costa Rica to meet with (all Spanish speaking though so it might be awhile)     That made me so much more excited about the move. :)

And, I remembered tonight when I was making my final walmart run before Sukkot that I am supposed to have a black skirt for Sukkot when I help out a bit with some of the Hebraic Dancing.    I had TOTALLY forgot.  I went to Kohls and Belk both and found nothing.  Walked into Walmart worried about it and the first thing I saw was a long black skirt in my size for $5.00   (and the only one they had).  Yah provides! :)

Why I love facebook.

I love scrolling down facebook.   Less for the social aspect and more for the way it grows my faith.  I thought that just for fun.. I'd share a few random facebook updates from my friends today..  Enjoy!

It is Shabbat.

I have never needed to NOT have a break from work so badly in my entire life.

Sukkot (it's one of the biblical feasts.. We are going to spend it camping in Rusk TX and will be gone 10-11 days)  starts very very soon and I have none of my food cooked, none of the camper packed, my camera batteries aren't charged, I have none of my food and such bought.. well you get the picture.
We also just sold our house and have 3 weeks to be out.  Remember me just telling you we'll be gone for 10-11 days?  Yep.  So 3 weeks is 21 days.  take away 11 we've got 10 days left.  take away 2 more (a sabbath and a high sabbath) we've got 8 days left.  These next 3 days (not including the sabbaths obviously) will be spent preparing for sukkot for the most part so that leaves us about 5 days to move everything we own.

The thing is, it's not just moving.   We are leaving the country for either Belize, Chile, or Costa Rica and it seems that Chile might be the road that is being taken.  If that is the case we can only bring suitcases with us.   Thankfully I have sold most of our belongings in preparation for this but there is still a lot left to do.  Decide what to keep, what to discard, what we will need and what we won't.  What we need for the first few months, and what we can ship down later, etc..  So it's a harder move than our others have been in that aspect.
And it's hard emotionally.   I feel that this is right and I am trying to follow my husbands leading here but that doesn't always make it easy does it?  There is a difference in trying to fulfill the role that YHWH has given you (as the priest of the home for the men or the role we have as wives) but it's so much harder to do it with a willing heart.   The same with moving, I know my husband's reasons are valid and I do agree with them.   I know this is the right move for our family and I see many benefits.   However, it's hard emotionally.  I love this area, I love the people here, I love my family here.   It's going to be the hardest thing I've ever done.

So, these past few days have been so very busy, hectic, tiring, stressful, emotional, and I didn't really want to break for Sabbath.  There is SO much that needs done!   I finished our meals (amid my disastrous kitchen and messy house)  and looked at the clock to find it one minute till sunset.  That’s all, I can’t do anything else that needs done.   But instead of being stressed like I thought I would be I was brought to tears.  It’s like right then a hand came down and he told me “Child, this is for you.  You need it.  Rest”
It’s truly for us.   He created man and women and the first thing he gave them was a Sabbath.    We did nothing to deserve it.. it’s just the gift he gives to us.
Mark 2:27 Then Yeshua said to them, "The Sabbath was made to meet the needs of people, and not people to meet the requirements of the Sabbath.

Praise Yah for his protection and love!

Trip to whataburger..

Short walk today.

The realtor had to show our house today and we didn't have the truck so we walked down to burger king to borrow their playground for awhile. :)

Here's a pic. Brianna took on my phone on the way..

And.. several from the playground. :)   We had a fun little break... and we sold our house while there!   Praise Yah!   We got to thinking.. we have said repetadly we will not leave before sukkot.. and we get back from that Oct 3rd.

They want to close that week.   We find out all the details tomorrow.   It's amazing how Yah works.   As we still are not for sure what our future plans are we'll be staying in our camper at the lake for awhile.   Wonder if my mom would mind company so I can use her washer/ dryer/ and internet once a week? (hint LOL)

Let's hope this child loses that other front tooth before long.. it's just kinda hanging there right now.

So it's been awhile without posting..

Playing some late night blog catch up. :)  This week and the coming days until Oct 3rd are cram packed full so posts might be a bit sporadic in between. :)

So.. I just got done making a new batch of deodorant.  That stuff works great!   However, word of advice.  Please advise your husbands that the texture of the stuff changes if you use coconut OIL.  See.. if they don't realize the coconut OIL changes easily with temperature when they open it one morning (after you manage to sneak into the hall and lower the temperature to a wonderfully cool degree without the said husband cranking it back up before bed) They will notice it's hard.  They will then proceed to add WATER to the deodorant which consists of baking soda, cornstarch, and coconut OIL.    Remember the school lessons on how water and oil don't' mix?  true that.. very true.

Still have several things that need done before bed but the dryer needs to finish up first.   I need to buy the girls a few things for this fall so it's up bright and early in the morning (by that I mean 9:00) to bring Jesse to work so we can use the truck.   With us camping and being outside for 11 days starting next week I figure we'd better get each of the kids a light jacket.  They've managed to outgrow last years.  We've also got a realtor coming tomorrow so the house needs to look nice before I leave in the morning.. so up late it is.

We've been busy this week.  We've learned about Jonah and the big fish.  We listened to the story and then the kids drew pictures.. they turned out quite cute. :)   See if you can place the scenes..

Brianna's.

Loriens

Superdy duperdy cute huh.

I finally figured out how to tie the long scarves.  Super happy about that because the selection of the long scarves is awesome right now.   I love these textured ones.. got it at Maurice's.

Some fun with school lately..

We studied about how Moses went up onto the mountain and was able to look out over the land but couldn't go into it before he died.   Here's his view (artistic licenses taken)

We talked about how YHWH is our rock..

For I will proclaim the name of the Lord;
ascribe greatness to our God! 4 “The Rock, his work is perfect,
for all his ways are justice.

and did some fun rock activites..

Math with rocks (which are very hard to find where we lived.. I walked around the block until I found a drainage ditch then I dug around in it looking like a crazy person with a bag digging for rocks)

And.. dating and courtship have been on my mind alot lately.  Starting to realize I have daughters LOL.  I don't want to end up with a 14 year old who is thinking about dating/ husband/ etc.. and be caught off guard.   So, I loved seeing this post pop up tonight on my reader feed.

Also, meet Heidi (the author of above post)   She's joined me on the torah school blog and is helping out with ideas there.  Very grateful!

And.. I think I'm off to put up some laundry and put the clean dishes away.  Then bed.... and my freshly made no water included deodorant.

Yom Teruah!

Psalm 81:3: "Blow up the trumpet (shofar) in the New Moon, in the Time Appointed, on our Solemn Feast Day".

Yom Teruah began last night at sunset. :)   We gathered together for the feast day with alot of friends (both friends I knew and new one's I had never meet) and had a great time. :)    I was able to enjoy this feast date more than our last one as I'd been able to study it more, understood a bit more about it, etc..     This past week alot of our schooling revolved around learning about Yom Teruah/ day of sounding/ feast of trumpets.

To see all of the projects the kiddos did hop over here..  http://torahschool.wordpress.com/2010/09/07/yom-teruah-feast-of-trumpets/

Our menu was apple pasteries, honey apple challah, honey glased carrots, and apple glazed chicken with rice.  Yummy!   I've got the other half of the stuff in the fridge for our lunch in a bit. :)
